APEDA-RCMC Registration
In short
Exporters of products scheduled under the APEDA Act, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy, cereals, processed foods and basmati rice, must register with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) and obtain a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC). An IEC is required first. The RCMC is valid for five years.
Overview
The APEDA RCMC is needed to export scheduled products and to claim financial assistance under APEDA schemes and export benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy.
Registration is made online on the APEDA portal. Getting the product category and exporter type right avoids delays.
