ISO Certification
In short
ISO certification confirms that a business meets an international management-system standard, such as ISO 9001 for quality. It is issued by an independent certification body after an audit, not by the government or by ISO itself. KNAP Advisory helps you choose the standard, prepare the documentation and coordinate the audit with an accredited certification body.
Overview
ISO certification is often required to qualify as a vendor for large companies and in government tenders. Common standards include ISO 9001 (quality management), ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety), ISO 27001 (information security) and ISO 22000 (food safety).
A certificate is normally valid for three years, with surveillance audits each year. Choosing an accredited certification body matters, because certificates from unaccredited bodies are often not accepted.
